FAQ

What area do you service?

Sunshine Coast, QLD (30km radius from Coolum Beach)

How long is a session?

About 20-30 min DEPENDING on the dog. Most dogs are well and truly done by that time.

    Can any dog do it?

Provided your dog is in good health (please check with your vet or physio first) - all dogs are welcome to give it a try.

How old does my dog have to be?

There is no age limit however puppies will only work on confidence building and very minimal actual mill work (their sessions will be short and designed according to the dog)

Senior dogs will also only do mini sessions, keeping the pace nice and steady.

Do I have to be home/present for the session?

No. As long as I have already met the dog and the dog is comfortable with me entering the property etc.

        GENERAL PRE SESSION-INFO:

        • To set up, all I need is a flat level surface. The van is high-top so will not fit under cover. I will be using my generator for the air conditioning when needed.
        • Please toilet your woofer before the session - we don't want the sh%*t to hit the fan! Literally..
        • Overgrown nails may get caught between the slats and cause injury. Trimmed nails is A MUST!
        • No food at least an hour before or after the mill session (we do not want to risk GDV)
        • Please come to your session with an open mind and no expectation of your dog actually running. Some dogs just do it, some dogs need a few sessions to even stand up on a mill. It is a very novel experience for most dogs, and we need to be patient with the process.
        • More than welcome to use our harnesses that have been designed for mill work and agitation sports by animal physiotherapist. Own harnesses are allowed however No Pull or fashion harnesses are not suitable for mill work. Y front harnesses preferred.
        • Bring some tasty treats, favorite toy and be camera ready - I will be taking photos and videos for social media purposes (pls tell me if you rather not)
        • It is the owner's responsibility to consult with their vet or physiotherapist to make sure mill work is safe for your dog. Your dog MUST be in good health.
        • As with any activity and use of equipment, there is always a chance of something going wrong - I will do my utmost to ensure the safety of your dog however if there is an underlying health issue that we are not aware of, I cannot guarantee that it won't have an impact on your dog.
